My name is Rob Stevens, I'm a Skilled Trades recruiter with Aerotek. We are looking for a motivated and reliable MIG Welder for a good company in Chattanooga. Here are some details about the responsibilities and the qualifications needed:

MIG Welder

Fabricating, preparing, fitting, welding and finishing mild steel components according to customer specifications.

• Fitting and welding - MIG/GMAW welding
• Setting up welding and fabrication equipment and making adjustments as needed for quality assurance
• Complete measuring, cutting, grinding, beveling, welding, and other metal fabrication tasks
• Measuring and checking parts against blueprints for quality assurance

Must-Have Experience:

• MIG welding
• Fitting
• Blueprint reading
• Metal fabrication - measuring, cutting, grinding, beveling, preparing metal products to weld, and finishing them after welding
• Basic math
• Mechanical abilities, hand and power tool usage

Other Beneficial Qualifications:

AWS, ASME, GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, flux core, stick, steel, aluminum, carbon, stainless steel, copper, titanium, alloys, blueprints, hydraulics, pneumatics, schematics, tolerances, fabrication, GD&T, laser cutting, torch cutting, burn table, plasma table, brake press, press brake, stamping, machining, lathes, mills,  CNC, tooling, tool & die, manual machining, ultrasound, x-ray,  Teems Fabrication, Davron Technologies, Metalworking Solutions, Miller, Titan Implement, Suburban, Custom Mechanical Contractors, Callahan Mechanical, Viking Industrial,  etc.

Pay: $18-$22/hr, depending on experience

Shift: 2nd - roughly 3:00pm to 12:00am

Schedule: Monday-Friday, with OT on Saturdays as needed

Weekly hours: probably 45-55 per week
