POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) leads the budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, and business strategic analysis of the financial team. The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis conducts financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, and reporting efforts to ensure efficient financial operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Lead the development of transformation roadmap following a robust and structured approach to identify/prioritize initiatives aligning with leadership, and coordinate estimation on effort/duration/resources.
- Support CFO in special projects, financial analysis, financial reporting, process improvement and ongoing search for profit improvement opportunities.
- Responsible for budget and forecasting activities, including maintenance of the company's revenue model.
- Oversee and manage the continued development of Budgeting and Forecasting tools while coordinating the diligence and ultimate implementation of new tools as needed.
- Lead, organize, and conduct workshops working with leaders and key partners across business units, and synthesize findings into opportunities/initiatives for the transformation program.
- Define and structure the program management approach, and guide initiative leaders to follow through a consistent program management cadences and documentation.
- Manage execution of initiatives and coordinate efforts and thinking across workstreams to ensure initiatives are delivered timely, interdependencies across initiatives are supervised, and risks/issues are uncovered and raised to program leaders for resolution.
- Lead development of executive-level presentations for the BOD and management.
- Develop mechanism to report on initiative progress, drive decision making and work on materials for senior leaders on a regular cadence as well as ad-hoc basis.
- Work with Plan to Perform and Record to Report Leaders to define vision, strategy, and goals for the transformation program - both short and long term.
- Support the project goal setting process and establish / implement tools and mechanisms to supervise progress and ensure value realization from initiatives.
- Participate in initiative team meetings to provide guidance to the initiative teams, to uncover and to help team prioritize issues/risks to resolve and bring these insights into program level regular meetings.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in a consulting role serving cross-industry clients at a national level, or relative Finance function role(s) within industry.
- Demonstrated capabilities in putting thoughts into executive level materials.
- Experience in tracking project goals, risks, and issues, conceptualizing mitigating strategies and presenting the same to senior management.
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and presentation skills Ability to assess quality of data and to document caveats and assumptions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and comfortable presenting to everyone from entry-level employees to senior vice presidents.
- Excellent relationship-building skills to identify stakeholder needs, foster trust, challenge assumptions, and make recommendations.
- Be resourceful enough to work and seek out solutions independently.
- Eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
