Position Description
CGI has an immediate need for an Sr. Enterprise Architect to join our financial services team in Reston, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.

This position will require working onsite 2 to 3 days per week at client site in Reston, VA.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Apply advanced skills, knowledge, and/or experience to lead modeling, analysis, and planning projects.
• Translate functional requirements into technical solutions to meet customer needs by applying advanced skills, knowledge, and experience.
• Maintain existing structures and collaborate with management to define governance processes.
• Perform modeling, analysis, and planning to solve technical business problems and inform the team's technical direction.
• Defining current and target state architectures, transition architectures and roadmaps
• Experience in defining deployment and resiliency architectures using serverless architecture like ECS, Fargate, Lambda etc...
• Experience working with Application servers and containers such as JBoss, Tomcat, WebLogic, Oracle Application Server
• Experience w/performance optimizations such as improving scalability, availability, throughput, failover, etc.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 8-10 years of relevant experience
• Excellent knowledge of application, data, resiliency architecture methodologies
• Excellent knowledge of integration patterns related to application and data
• Excellent hands-on skills and knowledge of API and Microservices architecture
• Good knowledge of data pipeline architecture
• Proven ability to demonstrate architect solutions based on business processes using AWS services for redesign of an existing systems and design of new systems.
• Proven ability to evaluate new services/cots products to meet business needs.
• Sound knowledge of data security & audit compliance
• Must possess strong communication skills to present and influence target state architecture reviews with peers and leaders.
• Must have strong collaboration skills to work with multiple teams and drive technology architecture decisions.
• Hands-on development skills and experience with Java or Python.
• Data Analytics solutioning experience in AWS cloud using AWS native services (EMR, Redshift, Athena etc.), Apache Spark framework and using Python, or R
• Demonstrated experience of various Cloud Technologies, industry trends and solutioning experience in Public, Hybrid Cloud and PaaS will be essential.
• Experience using JIRA, Confluence, Visio and other Confluence tools
• Must have experience in defining deployment and resiliency architectures using serverless architecture like ECS, Fargate, Lambda etc...
• Average knowledge on big data cosystem and good knowledge on services like AWS EMR, Sagemaker.
• AWS Solution Architect Associate or Professional certification.

Nice to have:
• Skilled in XML, Java, JavaScript, Kubernetes, Docker, VMWare. Terraform

Education Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or related field​​​​​

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $75,600.00 - $165,300.00
