Job description

  1. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  2. Strong problem-solving skills
  3. Skills in developing a good rapport and personal relationship with guests.
  4. Great memory for names and faces.
  5. Warmly and efficiently welcome and seat guests accordingly and promptly.
  6. Build and plot the reservation book to optimize seat utilization and to ensure positive guest experience.
  7. Direct rest of Host staff to maintain high standards of service execution.
  8. Act to best resolve problems to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
  9. Ensure all information provided to guests and team members is current and accurate.
  10. Recognize regular and VIP guests and learn their seating preferences.
  11. Maintain exceptional cleanliness & organization at the host station (always menus to stay clean, stay updated, current versions, organized based on different shifts.
  12. Worked with Open table & Resy
  13. Communicate clearly and effectively with guests, managers, and fellow team members to ensure guests feel well taken care of
  14. Possess knowledge of the local area to provide relevant directions, recommendations, and resources to successfully fulfill guest requests.
  15. Maintain a constantly professional, friendly, and hospitable workspace.
  16. Successfully coordinating with Servers and assisting in service all needed guest’s information. 
  17. Pull out chairs and present menus individually.
  18. Answers phone calls and provides information on reservations, availability, restaurant hours and services.
