Role Overview:
As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in procuring and negotiating contracts for goods and services. Operating in alignment with state, federal, and university purchasing regulations, you'll ensure the seamless acquisition of resources while resolving any challenges that may arise during the procurement process.

Competitive annual salary: $70,000 - $88,000

Key Responsibilities:
Purchasing Source Selection (55%):
Implement appropriate source selection methods in accordance with regulations.
Develop bid specifications through research and collaboration.
Verify compliance with bid terms and conditions and evaluate bid responses.
Contract Review (15%):
Manage and execute contracts, ensuring compliance and obtaining necessary approvals.
Instruction of Rules and Regulations (20%):
Educate campus departments on procurement and fiscal rules.
Provide consultation, training, and service to faculty, staff, students, and administration.
Mediation (10%):
Mediate vendor and end-user disputes.
Resolve invoicing and shipping issues through effective communication and collaboration.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma with relevant experience.
5+ years of professional experience in public procurement or 8+ years with a High School Diploma.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Strong written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Federal Uniform Guidance, 2 CFR Part D - Procurement Standards.
Public procurement certification (CPPB, CPPO, CPM, etc.).
Familiarity with Kuali and Shop Catalogs.
Experience in procurements for research-intensive institutions.
