Summary

This Events Intern at the Grand Hyatt Denver will focus on Event Concierge. The Event Concierge is the liaison between the Events Manager and the on-site events/meeting contact.  This position is highly visible and the central point for handling and addressing special needs or requests.  It requires detailed knowledge of the hotel meeting facilities, group dynamics, and event details. 

Candidates must have open schedule availability is required, mornings/days/nights, weekends and holidays.  This position requires a considerable amount of walking and standing for over 60,000 sq ft of meeting space at the Grand Hyatt Denver.

This is a paid Hyatt internship for students seeking an understanding of the hospitality industry. Students must secure their own housing. 

$19.29 per hour

Qualifications

Qualifications for this position -

• Candidates should be extremely detail oriented and organized.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous catering or event experience helpful.
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-pace environment.
• Must be proficient in general computer knowledge.
• 2 nd or 3 rd year student, studying hospitality or related major.
• Continuous authorization to work in the U.S.
• Capable of a 10-week commitment but open to extensions.
