The Opportunity:

Hello Sunshine is seeking a highly talented and versatile Analyst to join our Strategy & Analytics practice. The Social Insights Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting data to drive brand, partner, and business decisions within the dynamic landscape of a multi-brand and agency environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for entertainment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets. 

They will thrive in a fast-moving environment with the ability to work autonomously across measurement and reporting initiatives as well as primary research design and interpretation. This candidate will have a strong desire to develop through data-driven storytelling methods and be comfortable presenting to both internal and external stakeholders.

This role will report directly into the Sr Manager of Measurement and Insights.

CANDIDATES MUST RESIDE IN LOS ANGELES.

What You Will Do:

• Synthesize social data from multiple sources to tell a well-rounded story. Identify and translate social trends and insights into actionable ideas and strategies
• Work with stakeholders to establish campaign specific key performance indicators and measure the performance and impact each campaign has on the brand and our originals
• Analyze audience behaviors, preferences, and engagement patterns across digital and social channels.
• Create and optimize dashboards across our portfolio of brands.
• Create custom measurement frameworks for in-house agency brand campaigns, conduct custom and 3rd party measurement reports, and create comprehensive wrap decks that uniquely tells the insights story given your findings
• Collaborate with marketing teams to identify current and growth target audiences
• Complete competitive analyses identifying brand and business opportunities
• Monitor social media channels to gauge audience reactions and industry trends.

Requirements

• 3-5 years experience as a Data Analyst in the entertainment or media industry.
• Experience with social platforms, including Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, Tumblr, YouTube, TikTok
• Knowledge of social media analytics and trends, and ability to understand data and provide insights from it.
• Experience with primary research methodologies, survey design and analysis
• Familiarity with entertainment industry data sources and metrics 
• Proficiency in web analytics and social listening tools such Google Analytics and NEtbase
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with paid media, customer segmentation and targeting strategies.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced and evolving industry landscapes.
