The Guardian Aircrew Trainer Environment (GATE) project, SAIC in Huntsville, Alabama is currently offering a position for a Systems Engineer . 

This position is for an engineer to work on a rotary wing trainer development program. The candidate should be self-motivated and willing to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a dynamic and growing team in Huntsville, AL.

Job Description: 

The selected candidate will support engineering activities in the program including market research, requirements definition, plan development, and system testing/troubleshooting.

The candidate will additionally support analysis of various types of aerospace products, equipment specifications and assembly/test/integration requirements to determine optimization of designs, which can be produced by existing manufacturing/assembly/integration tools/facilities and methods. 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelors’ degree and zero (0) years of related experience; four (4) years of experience are accepted in lieu of a degree.

Required Skills:

• The position requires knowledge and understanding of hardware development principles and processes.
• Experience reading, writing, and interpreting requirements.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong ability to collaborate.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with electronics troubleshooting is a plus.
• Experience with Solidworks PDM Administration and configuration management is a plus.

Required Clearance:

• Candidate must possess or be capable of obtaining a SECRET security clearance
