POSITION OVERVIEW: The Financial Analyst is responsible for the day to day management and analysis of the financial duties and responsibilities including completion of monthly closings of the general ledger for sales, cost of sales, related expense, and profit. Additionally, will assist in the preparation and analysis of cost standards, financial statements, investment analysis, and related balance sheet accounts.

• Analyze, summarize and report financial performance, KPI's and trends for operating companies and corporate shared services
• Understand business processes, people, and relevant technology, in order to identify, configure, and communicate useful information, and to provide practical business counsel to support accounting, finance, business units, shared services and other project teams across the organization
• Provide business/financial analysis and decision support that allows management to evaluate alternatives, make fact-based decisions, and evaluate the consequences of decisions
• Perform month end financial close activities including preparation and/or review of variety of journal entries, reconciliations, analysis and reporting
• Perform special projects and ad-hoc analyses as needed

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the accounting/finance field
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• MBA or CPA is preferred but NOT required
• Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, communication and organizational skills required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
