Job description
Responsible for the business strategy, revenue growth, business development and professional service delivery for warehouse automation and logistics technology. Serve as a hands-on leader, with a focus on developing and deploying innovative technology solutions and high quality staff augmentation services that drive efficiency, effectiveness and value. Works closely with all levels of management and staff.
Responsibilities
- Develop short-and long-term vision and strategic plans for the line of business that aligns with business unit and corporate goals
- Utilize strategic thinking skills to facilitate the execution of forward-thinking, industry leading ideas and business initiatives
- Develop and enhance key solutions that align with industry trends and leverage the capabilities and experience of the organization
- Build credibility with senior leadership and delivery teams through strong executive presence
- Develop strategy to identify and evaluate future solutions that align with industry trends
- Facilitate top-down and bottom-up communications and awareness related to the line of business
- Monitor performance against the budgets, and act to ensure budget compliance, including P&L responsibilities for profits at the project and line of business level
- Drive revenue and profit by owning business development efforts, taking charge of the assigned quota for accounts; ensure profitable growth for the Logistics LOB through effective sales strategies and market analysis
- Proactively engage in expanding key accounts by collaborating with the Sales and internal stakeholders
- Align efforts with client transformation goals; establish and nurture relationships with client leadership to become a trusted advisor
- Ensure all business leaders and team members are contributing to the overall growth strategy
- In collaboration with Marketing and Sales, oversee the development of thought leader/promotional materials, campaign strategies, and marketing approaches to stimulate sales activities for defined solutions
- Attend and participate in industry conferences to promote CTG business and generate leads
- Contribute to marketing efforts, serving as thought leader through blogs and other requested mediums to promote CTG
- Serve as an executive sponsor for assigned key clients to promote quality and growth
- Facilitate introduction to potential customers in support of sales efforts
- Create and manager project timelines and budgets; ensuring projects meet the expectations of the client and all budgeting parameters
- Ensure the utilization of fundamental company processes, policies, procedures to maintain effective management of the business’ portfolio of clients and projects; especially adhering to those policies that most closely impact quality of service
- Ensure appropriate level of engagement oversight and project monitoring for each and every project
- Spearhead team collaboration with global delivery teams as needed, guaranteeing the highest level of client satisfaction
- Team Management and Coaching
- Supervise and train new team members; actively managing a large team of technical professionals, including software developers and engineers, computer scientists and many other IT-related personnel
- Represent CTG Core Values by leading and participating in continuous learning, personal and professional development, and contributions to company growth and success
- Ensure maximum utilization of resources, on and off projects, with the goal of increased productivity both externally for our clients and internally toward company growth activities
- Ensure consistent, appropriate employee communications to ensure employees feel a part of the larger organization
- Complete annual review of employee’s performance and develop appropriate action items based on employee feedback
- Serve as the management liaison with Recruiting to increase overall qualified submissions for the business
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred, ideally in software engineering, computer science or other related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing teams of 60+ high performing technical professionals
- Expertise in warehouse automation and logistics software engineering
- Proven track record in creating and developing high-performance teams
- Expertise in business development within warehousing or logistics operations across large geographical areas
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and interact with client 'C-level' executives and other key decision makers
- Competence in working with global delivery teams
- Competence in profitably leading large, concurrent consulting engagements
- Competence in developing and managing to a strategic and financial plan, including line of business P&L responsibilities
- Strong problem-solving, organization and time management abilities; excellent verbal and written communication skills
