Administrative Associate position will help support the mission of Baylor University in the School of Music by having strong critical thinking, problem solving skills, attention to detail, analytical thinking, strong communication skills, and will be results-oriented.
An Associate's degree, three years of relevant experience, and an active Christian faith is required. A Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant non-profit, university or college experience is preferred. A combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. What You Will Do - Manage day-to-day operations of the choral ensembles, orchestra and the Instrumental Division and provide administrative support as needed
- Collaborate with departmental faculty on management and planning of events
- Assist and manage special projects and initiatives
- Assist in coordinating travel (both individual and group)
- Strong ability to set priorities and effectively perform and manage tasks, that require a heavy workload, that could entail a quick turn-around time
- Manage and maintain supplies inventory and submit work orders as needed for repairs/maintenance in the building.
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of applicable University tools and systems
- Capacity to apply information, policies, and processes across a large scope of assignments
- Promote professional environment with excellent customer service
- Identify opportunities to improve the execution of daily tasks and recommend changes
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Ability to comply with University policies
