Cambridge International Systems, Inc. has a full-time Senior Network Engineer opportunity available based in Doral, FL. Qualified candidates for this job must possess a current DoD Top Secret security clearance.
SOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES) is working to deliver and operationalize information technology (IT) services for all US SOUTHCOM combatant command constructed networks. These constructed networks span the US SOUTHCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR). Work performed under this Task Order directly provides US SOUTHCOM a defensible, secure, modern, and efficient IT infrastructure across all combatant command constructed networks.
We have an opportunity for a Senior Telecom & Voice Engineer to work in support of SOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES).
This position supports SOUTHCOM's transformative move to a Zero Trust Architecture in alignment with the DoD Zero Trust Strategy and Executive Order (EO) 14028.
ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES - Design and define network architecture for new or existing computer systems.
- Perform complex network development and design work.
- Participate in the upgrading of operating systems and design of network enhancements.
- Provide input for documentation on new or existing networks.
- Develops and conduct tests to ensure networks meet documented user requirements.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve network problems.
- Provide network/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.
- Determine network specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
- Comprehensive knowledge of network engineering principles, methods, and techniques.
Required QUALIFICATIONS - Must possess an active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
- 8+ years of Network Engineering experience.
- Knowledge and experience with routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, ISIS, Spanning Tree Protocol, ISAKMP, ESP, SIP, SCCP, etc.)
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot DMVPN and GRE tunnels
- Extensive experience with the following: routing/switches WAN (BGP, IOS-XR platform)
- Datacenter (Nexus, VMware)
- Network Security (VPNs, C2C, CSFC, etc.)
- Great attention to detail and presentation
- Working knowledge and hands-on experience with: Cisco ISE
- Cisco DNAC
- VMWare / Hypervisor
- Windows Operating Environment
- Design Documentation
- Completed CCNP Routing and Switching or CCNP Enterprise
- Knowledge of Virtualization technologies
- Experience with firewalls and firewall rule sets
- Hands-on Experience operating and or migrating to IPv6 environment.
- Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science or 8 years + of relevant experience.
- CCNP Routing and Switching or CCNP Enterprise
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Knowledge and experience with VoIP/collaboration systems
- Hands-on Experience implementing DISA mandate solution for Comply-to-Connect.
- Some training or experience with software defined networking (SD-WAN, SD-Access)
- 8+ years of hands-on experience working on various Cisco networking equipment/appliance to include Cisco ISE, Cisco DNAC, etc.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS - In some occasions, overnight travel may be required.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS Cambridge International Systems complies with Temporary Duty Station (TDY)/Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) vaccination requirements. If this position requires OCONUS travel (listed above), lists applicable current vaccination requirements by location.
Office setting:
- Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.
- Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
- May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.
