Job description

Education: 

• Graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred.

Experience:

• Correctional experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Current and unrestricted Physical Therapy license to practice in Massachusetts.
• Current CPR Certification.

Responsibilities:

• Develops and implements a rehabilitation program consistent with the physician's plan of treatment for patients.
• Confers with physician and clinical team members to obtain additional patient information and assist in developing, implementing and revising the therapy treatment program and plan of treatment.
• Instructs, motivates and assists patients in non-manual exercises.
• Administers manual therapeutic exercise.
• Maintains daily progress notes, correspondence with provider and The Company documentation procedures.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on the physical, psychosocial, safety and related criteria appropriate to the patients served.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
• Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.
• Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.
• Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.
• Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.
• Post orders, if applicable, per site contract.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
