Job description
Trinity Employment Specialist is currently hiring highly dependable Medical Lab Couriers for an awesome company!
Schedules available:
Monday through Friday; 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. shift.
Tuesday through Saturday; 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. shift.
This position pays $12.00 an hour plus shift differentials and holiday pay!
Job Description:
Delivering and retrieving processed and unprocessed blood, blood products, donor samples, patient samples, derivatives, equipment, displays, shipments, supplies to/from hospitals, mobiles, sub-centers, clinics, doctor’s offices, and research facilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver, retrieve, distribute and transport Blood Products, samples, equipment, specimens, and supplies as necessary
- Process and prepare orders for distribution of blood and blood components as appropriate for customers.
- Retrieve and secure products from assigned locations at closing (e.g. Confirm all products are boxed and taken to main center. Check rotator for platelets that might not have been boxed. Check empty boxes for other blood products.)
- Required to be available for and to be able to respond to “on-call” as scheduled.
- Coordinate with Satellites and Mobile Blood Drive for pickup of products.
- Conduct minor maintenance and upkeep of vehicles and equipment used for daily operation.
- Perform quality control and maintenance equipment as appropriate
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.
- Moving therapeutic instruments with van and trailer.
- Coordinate moving all instruments from satellites and mobiles to destination.
- Fueling fleet, responsible for correct placement of interoffice mail and working with Inventory Management Coordinator on follow-up of complaints as appropriate.
- Work with Inventory Management Coordinator to submit all car inspection reports, repair reports, and be responsible for completion of courier log and car check-in and out log.
- Coordinate with other drivers for timely deliveries.
Job Requirements:
- Must provide high school diploma or transcript or GED prior to starting
- Must have MVR with zero points and no moving or traffic violations in the past 3 years prior to starting
- Must provide valid driver’s license
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be able to lift 60 lbs
- Must pass background check
- Must pass drug screen
- Ability to safely drive a vehicle pulling a trailer
