Job description

We're searching for a dedicated Human Resources Coordinator to join our team, bringing a blend of expertise in benefits, recruitment, and administrative support. This role is a fantastic opportunity to engage with team members across all levels of our organization, requiring a self-motivated individual with the ability to exercise independent judgment to effectively manage a diverse range of tasks. Offering a flexible remote/hybrid work setup based in Aberdeen, MD, this position also encompasses occasional travel, up to 10%.

Key Responsibilities:

Take charge of the recruitment process, from conducting resume searches and representing our organization at job fairs to scheduling interviews and facilitating the onboarding process, including reference and background checks.
Update and manage job descriptions and assist in overseeing our internship program.
Forge and maintain productive relationships with local colleges and staffing agencies to source candidates for entry-level positions and internships.
Offer guidance and support on employee benefits.
Play an integral role in recruiting and onboarding seasonal and full-time staff, including drafting offer letters.
Collaborate with the Human Resources Director to keep company organization charts current.
Handle a variety of HR administrative duties, such as managing employee files, drafting HR correspondence, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
Support the implementation of HR programs and procedures for all staff.
Help coordinate special company events and conduct research to keep abreast of labor laws and practices.
Qualifications:

Essential:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in human resources, focusing on administrative and recruitment roles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with ADP HRIS.
Strong knowledge of recruitment, benefits, and administrative processes.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
A professional demeanor, coupled with a proactive attitude and the ability to go above and beyond.
Self-sufficient with decision-making capabilities and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Desirable:

Previous HR experience.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
Proven track record of managing projects from inception to completion.
