Job description
Zero Labs is on a mission to bring Premium Classic Vehicles into the modern world through electrification. We are looking for a highly collaborative and savvy marketer that understands electric vehicle sales. As classic vehicles electrify, one of the key challenges to be addressed is helping guide customers to custom vehicle electrification. Zero Labs goal is to guide customers all the way along their electrification journey, to make the transition to electric vehicles as seamless as possible.
This role is currently based in Gardena, CA with Orange County Support and is primarily on-site. Please check commute impact ahead of applying. Paid relocation is currently not available. If this doesn't scare you away and below is interesting, please apply.
What you will do:
- The ideal candidate will be passionate about the EV space, intellectually curious, analytical, comfortable with ambiguity and working independently, focused on the details while thinking strategically
- The successful candidate will drive towards simple, scalable solutions to solve difficult problems, have excellent project-management skills, and have experience communicating complex analytical results in a clear way
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing and sales programs from concept to completion with multiple clients across different platforms and media formats
- Field and review inbound sales requests from a variety of sales channels
- Develop presentations and marketing materials to support Business Development teams.
- Develop a deep understanding of the customer’s goals, budgets and timelines and determine if they are a good fit for Zero Labs solutions.
- Familiarity with basic statistical analysis and modeling required to help assess effectiveness
- Drive for high performance, takes responsibility and works towards planning targets, overcoming obstacles, setbacks and uncertainty
Responsibilities
- Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully developing and managing the sales team
- Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure it’s strong presence
- Coordinate with internal and external partners in order to prepare the organization for start of retail sales, including setting distribution channel requirements, standards, and KPIs; and monitor for target achievement
- Negotiate terms with our distribution partners
- Collaborate with sales planning and marketing teams to ensure sales target achievement
- Develop and implement recovery plans if necessary
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
- Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
- Support ongoing marketing efforts with timeline updates, newsletters and posting support
Requirements
- 8+ years of sales and marketing experience at an agency or in-house automotive team
- The ideal candidate will be passionate about the EV space, intellectually curious, analytical, comfortable with ambiguity and working independently, focused on the details while thinking strategically
- The successful candidate will drive towards simple, scalable solutions to solve difficult problems, have excellent project-management skills, and have experience communicating complex analytical results in a clear way
- Prior experience supporting executive stakeholders will be critical to success
- Confidence in CRM tools, pipeline modeling required to help assess effectiveness
- Undergraduate or graduate degree or related
- 3+ years of experience leading B2B marketing efforts
- Strong program management ability and proven experience driving projects through to completion, on time
- Ability to interact with a wide range of functional areas and skill sets, including: Engineering, Product Management, Strategy, Finance, Legal, Sales, Marketing, Operations, etc
- Affinity with B2C and B2B customers
- Understanding of the EV industry
- Ability to execute in a fast paced, high-demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills: ability to communicate complex technical issues simply and convincingly to a wide range of audiences
- Comfortable in dynamic environments where priorities can shift
- Drive for high performance, takes responsibility and works towards planning targets, overcoming obstacles, setbacks and uncertainty
- Superior documentation and organizational skills with an eye for detail.
- A high degree of discretion and professionalism are required due to the high profile nature of employees and clients.
- A positive, self-starting attitude that works well with others, can be accountable to customers, and hold others accountable.
- BS/MS degree in business administration or a related field
- Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
- Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Strong business sense and industry expertise
- Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
