Summary

Activity Leaders at ERfC Summer Escape collaborate with the Camp Director of Curriculum and Instruction to plan and manage Summer Escape Camp Program activities and daily routines/procedures. Each Activity Leader is assigned to a specific program activity such as arts and crafts, sports, STEAM, and theater, singing, and dancing. Activity Leaders oversee their program activity throughout the 7-week camp session (June 24 th ? August 9 th )

As an Activity Leader, you specialize in one activity offered throughout Summer Escape sessions. ERfC Activity Leaders have a special interest or skillset that makes them qualified to share their experience at a beginner to intermediate level.

Duties

� Develop curriculum in coordination with the Camp Director of Curriculum and Instruction
� Meet with Camp Director of Curriculum and Instruction prior to camp (April ? June) to create developmentally appropriate lessons plans aligning with the Summer Escape?s weekly themes
� Lead camp activity sessions when camp is in session (June 24 th ? August 9 th )
� Maintain a safe camp environment
� Other essential function may be assigned as required based on the needs of ERfC Summer Escape
� Classroom/behavior management of groups of up to 24 children ages 4-13
� Collaborative planning skills
� Time management

Requirements

� High School Diploma/GED
� Experience working with children
� Degree in education or related field preferred
Individuals with equivalent experience will be considered for employment without the required degree

ERfC Summer Escape is located at Prudence Crandall School in Enfield and is licensed by the CT Office of Early Childhood (OEC).

ERfC?s mission is to team with kids, communities, schools, and families to grow resilient kids. Through innovative community collaborations, we help kids learn, reach their goals, and contribute to their communities. Our mission guides all of our organizational activities including our strategy of collaborating with a variety of organizations and individuals to provide quality out-of-school time services for youth and families.
