Inventory Coordinator
FullTime Pittsburgh, Pa
The Inventory Coordinator is part of the Inventory Team; with core functionalities focusing on managing the pharmacy’s perpetual inventory. This position will work in parallel with the Purchasing and Inventory Specialist. This position will be responsible for reviewing analytical information presented to them and ensuring inventory KPIs are being maintained. This position will be responsible for ensuring inventory is put away timely, recalls are managed, and completion of inventory auditing. This position will ensure all inventory projects are completed timely and efficiently.
- Responsible for maintaining current inventory management processes
- Daily monitor of owes at a detailed level
- Participates in Annual Physical Inventory events
- Manages weekly ostomy reports and orders from two suppliers
- Ensures all ostomy items are entered correctly and manages pricing and PAR levels
- Completes, monitors, and manages inventory at all pharmacy locations
- Monitors PAR levels at Pittsburgh pharmacy weekly at detailed level
- Ensures all items are added to all the ATP databases correctly
- Manages “soon to expire” Omnicell inventory
- Travels onsite to pull Omnicell inventory items if needed
- Routinely evaluates high cost medications
- Evaluates all overstocked medications, what can we return to Cardinal
- Audits items in TCGRx Beacon system – Inventory file
- Coordinates audits for narcotic and non-narcotic Inventory
- Participates in continuous quality improvement
- Processes inventory returns with vendors
- Coordinates activities for medication carts
- Ensures all medications are put into inventory in timely manner
- Adds medications to pharmacy systems when needed
- High school diploma required
- Preferred certified pharmacy technician license
- 2+ year(s) inventory experience, preferably in pharmaceutical field
- Demonstrated experience required
- Procurement and Inventory Control background
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Exhibits strong work ethic, organizational skills, quality control abilities
- Exhibits professional demeanor and ability to work well with others
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical medication and supplies
- Knowledge of general carriers, such as, UPS and FedEx
- Knowledge of storage requirements, such as, refrigerated items, outdates, and hazardous materials
