Job description
Adecco Medical & Science is hiring a Phlebotomist in Arlington, Texas ! This role is on site/ in person. Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration:
Type: Four-month contract, with opportunity for extension, or fulltime offer
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30AM – 4:30PM
Pay: $22.34 - $24.34 per hour
Dress: Plain scrubs (blue, black, grey)
Responsibilities of the Phlebotomist:
· Blood collection: from adult and pediatric patients using vacutainer, syringe and butterfly techniques; capillary puncture using heel and fingerstick techniques
· Identifies and labels specimens appropriately
· Instructs patients in regard to urine and stool collection procedures
· Enters accessioning data into the computer
· Prepares specimens for send out testing
· Inventories supplies and prepares phlebotomy stations to effectively collect blood
· Maintains patient confidentiality
· Provide Surgical Scheduling, precertification and scheduling maintenance of surgeries for one or more Physicians
· Provide quality Customer Service to the patients and visitors courteously and promptly
· Must possess solid interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with co-workers, Management Staff, and Physicians
· Demonstrate professionalism in appearance and actions with patients, staff, Physicians and Administrators at all times
Qualifications for the Phlebotomist:
· High school graduate or GED equivalent
· Current, nationally recognized Phlebomist or Medical Assistant certification or the ability to obtain the certification within 180 days of employment.
· Current BLS certification for healthcare providers (written exam and in-person assessment) at time of hire or within 30 days of hire
· Basic computer literacy required, with intermediate Excel skills
· Knowledge of medical terminology
· Computer literacy in electronic health record (Nexgen and EPRG)
