Campus Security Authority Statement:This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority. A Campus Security Authority (or CSA) is defined as an “official of the institution with significant responsibility for student and campus activities.” A CSA is required to immediately report any crime that is reported to them to the University Police who will then review, evaluate, and investigate the reported crime. Annual training is required by the Department of Education for all personnel who have been designated as a Campus Security Authority.

Chief Objective of Position:The Residential Fellow will support the Office of Residence Life in its mission to create a safe and inclusive community for all students that complements the educational mission of the University. Reporting to an Assistant Director for Residence Life, the Residential Fellow will provide ongoing support for all residential students, student staff, and professional staff. This position requires an on-call duty rotation including after hours, weekends, and university holidays/academic breaks. While serving on call, the Residential Fellow will need to remain within a 15-minute response time from campus with reliable transportation. Additional support may be needed during university holidays/academic breaks in case of emergency. This is a required live-in, 12-month position (June 1, 2024 – May 31, 2025). Upon mutual agreement, Residence Life may extend a contract for one additional year (May 31, 2026).

Examples may include involvement with faculty, administrators, and other students, in addition to demonstrated experience providing leadership to peers.
