**Job Description:**
We are seeking a diligent Projects Coordinator to join our operations team at a neutral hub for open source initiatives. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the seamless facilitation, coordination, and execution of objectives for our members and the broader open source community. Operating within our Projects Operations team, comprised of top-tier community facilitators, you'll contribute to supporting numerous critical open source projects worldwide.
As a remote position based in the United States, you'll report to a Projects Team Lead, with occasional domestic and international travel for events (approximately 1-4 times per year).
**Core Responsibilities:**
- Facilitate and support project communities in their initiatives, planning, and objective execution.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and delivery teams to achieve positive community outcomes.
- Aid project communities in enhancing their visibility through event talks, tracks, blogs, and press releases.
- Manage communication and onboarding for new project members.
- Maintain accurate internal records and data for projects and members.
- Collaborate with project leadership to organize meeting agendas, gather content, and record minutes.
- Contribute to budget planning in coordination with project leadership.
- Provide guidance to project communities on best practices with the support of internal open source experts.
- Fulfill additional tasks as required.
**Qualifications:**
- 2+ years of experience in group facilitation, task planning, execution, and results communication.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Positive, self-directed attitude with a commitment to delivering under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage tasks efficiently.
- Previous remote work experience preferred; adept at managing tasks independently.
- Comfortable collaborating with diverse community members, from executives to technical professionals.
- Familiarity with Google Docs preferred.
