The County of Santa Cruz has retained Berkeley Search Consultants to recruit an Assistant Division Director of Child Welfare Services. Within a drivable distance of the San Francisco Bay Area and Monterey, the County is located on the scenic Central California coastline and encompasses the incorporated cities of Santa Cruz, Watsonville, Scotts Valley, and Capitola. The County’s Human Services Department offers a wide range of programs and services to the community, including but not limited to Family and Children’s Services, Adult and Long-Term Care Services, Employment and Benefit Services, and Housing for Health (Homeless Services). Position Profile

Under the general direction of the Division Director, the Assistant Division Director of Child Welfare Services assists in implementing, organizing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the Child Welfare programs of the Human Services Department. The Assistant Division Director of Child Welfare Services helps lead the division that provides services to children who have been abused, neglected, or who are at risk of abuse or neglect. The Child Welfare Services department prioritizes child safety, child and family well-being and permanency for children.
