Job description
System One is assisting an Industrial Manufacturing Client located in New Castle, PA to find a Millwright B Class.
In an exciting and challenging fast-paced environment, the Millwright repairs hydraulic equipment, welds, performs crane maintenance and repairs and installs plant equipment.
What You’ll Do :
- Must be able to read and understand drawings and schematics.
- Has working knowledge of various types of gear reductions and motor/reducer coupling alignments.
- Must have knowledge and ability to repair hydraulic equipment.
- Has knowledge to perform the following welding procedures: mig, tig, stick (including stainless) and gas welding.
- Operates mobile equipment.
- Performs crane maintenance and has knowledge of the proper safe rigging methods.
- Able to work at heights.
- Abides by all policies and procedures established by the Company including plant safety regulations and work rules.
- Must have ability and desire to work with others.
- Meets attendance requirements.
- Performs other duties as deemed necessary.
What You’ll Need :
- Commitment to safety
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent G.E.D..
- Minimum of 2 years experience in mechanical maintenance in a heavy industrial facility preferred.
- Previous maintenance experience in a steelmaking environment preferred.
- Ability to pass a written skills-based test, as well as blueprint test, hydraulic test, and welding test.
- Valid and active driver's license.
- Strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn
