The Opportunity
The Risk Consultant will develop and implement safety, regulatory and best practice risk reduction programs for our clients. Will work within the HUB Risk Services Team, supporting the Commercial Lines Department in a variety of industries and clients. This position will be inHUB Puerto Ricoand you will have the opportunity to do site visiting as part of the role.
A day in the life…
The Risk Consultant will work with HUB International producers and clients to develop and implement safety, regulatory and best practice risk reduction programs for our clients. The position will report into the Risk Services Team with the consultant's primary responsibilities include:
Provide a high-level service to clients all over the island.
Self-starter Risk Consultant with a proven track record of coordinating, managing, and servicing large national accounts across a diverse cross-section of industries.
Engage internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines, to help drive positive business outcomes.
Manage and facilitate large project activities for field consultants that include multiple locations and organization-level risk improvement service plans to help drive positive business outcomes.
Conduct & prepare reports of loss analysis & trending to identify client focus areas.
Perform and prepare reports of audits, valuations and assessments at client sites.
Conduct management and employee training sessions for clients as needed.
Develop, cultivate, and manage relationships with insurance carrier and vendor partners.
Provide advocacy and oversight of insurance carrier loss control inspections and recommendations provided to our clients.
Provide feedback, guidance, and direction for internal and external stakeholders to help drive positive business outcomes.
Contribute to HUB PR projects as needed or requested by HUB Risk Services.
What you will need for success
Required Experience
At least (3-7) years of experience as a risk/loss control consultant in the insurance broker or carrier environments, risk/safety manager in industry, or risk/safety consulting experience.
Experience in building structures.
Bachelor's degree in civil or Structural Engineering related field is desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
High degree of self-motivation and discipline is necessary.
Proficiencyin Microsoft Office product such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
What you will need to stand out:
Completion of (or progression towards) professional risk/safety designations is desirable.
CAT Response, Data Analytics/Analysis and Emergency Response is a plus.
Designations such as CSP, ARM, CFPS, ABCP, CSHM, etc. are a plus.
Completion of (or progression towards) professional risk/safety designations is desirable.
Knowledge of risk technology, digital solutions, AI, and analytics related experience is a plus.
Strong working knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT and/or NFPA standards is desirable.
