Since 2006, Dragonfly has provided routine maintenance and repairs on stormwater devices, lakes, ponds, wetlands, and underground facilities. This role is integral to the smooth and profitable execution of work performed by Dragonfly Pond Works

Responsibilities

Working under the direct supervision of the Regional Manager, this is a field-based position and functions as an integral component to the smooth and profitable execution of work in the field. While each project is different, the technician's responsibilities encompass the following:

• Mowing, string trimming, pruning stormwater ponds.
• Load and unload heavy equipment and planting materials from trucks.
• Schedule and monitor daily workloads.
• Plan, coordinate, and collect equipment and materials each day.
• Attend and participate in crew and department general and safety meetings.
• Prepare timesheets and other daily paperwork as required by the company.
• Safe driving of company owned vehicles trucks (with or without trailers) and transporting crew members.
• Maintain on-site relations and communications with clients, contractors and/or subcontractors.
• Overnight travel within and to nearby States is required 25%-75% of the time.

Safe operation and maintenance of the following equipment:

• Mowers - Stand on, walk behind, Ventrac.
• Edgers, string trimmers and chain saws
• Backpack blowers and sprayers
• Hand tools such as shovels, picks, rakes and pruning tools.

What you need

• Background and experience in lake/pond maintenance, landscaping, commercial mowing, turf management, pesticide application
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis.
• Ability to walk on steep slopes for extended periods of time.
• Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns, and other environmental risks.
• Must practice safety with chemicals and equipment.
• Must have good communication skills and ability to motivate others.
• Must comply with Dragonfly's policies and procedures.
