Job description
Utah State Univeristy has an opening for a Marketing Assistant (Development Research Asst I). The purpose of this position is to jointly assist the Departments of Animal, Dairy and Veterinary Sciences (ADVS); and Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning (LAEP); in researching, communicating with, and stewardship of alumni and friends.
Special Instructions:
Reporting will be directly to the respective department heads of ADVS and LAEP. The specific distribution of the duties listed above will vary between the two departments, and will be determined by the respective department head. Weekly work hours will be 40, split approximately equally between the two departments, though when needed, more time may be devoted to one department with mutual agreement of the department heads. with options for flexibility in hours as needed. Position will be located at USU’s main Logan campus.
Minimum Qualifications:
Four years of office support experience OR a Bachelor's degree OR applicable certificate plus 2 years of directly related office experience.
Must have a strong understanding of the English language, including spelling, grammar, and letter writing; and excellent proofreading and editing skills.
Proficient in MS Office.
Proficient in graphic design and publication software.
Willingness to undertake necessary training needed to perform job functions or to enhance job performance.
