This position earns a competitive wage of $22.00/hour . A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LEAD YOUTH CARE COUNSELOR
As a Lead Youth Care Counselor, you will provide direct support services to clients, including intakes, supervision, and participation in recreation activities. You will be responsible for developing and implementing daily routines and weekly recreation schedules while ensuring that the opportunities for clients are culturally relevant. In addition, you will be responsible for scheduling shift coverage and managing staffing levels for regular and on-call staff. You will play a key role in the development and coordination of plans for basic need provision, food preparation, and client menu planning, collaborating with staff and vendors for necessary supplies.
You will collaborate with Program leadership, the Facilities and Safety Manager and vendors for repairs and maintenance of the facility, vehicles, and the procurement of supplies. You will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of our program and making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.
