The University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics' Day of Surgery Admissions unit is seeking a Nurse Manager.

The Nurse Manager for DOSA provides managerial and clinical leadership to inpatient unit to assure that all staff provide safe clinical care and have the education, methods and resources to accomplish their performance objectives.

Positions in this job family usually have limited involvement in direct patient care and focus their efforts in planning, organizing, directing, evaluating, and improving health care operations, clinical education programs and research programs of clinical and health service departments.



Key Areas of Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:



Classification Title: Nurse Manager

Department: Perioperative Division, Day of Surgery Admissions Unit (DOSA)

Pay Grade: 6A

Percent of Time: 100%

Schedule: Primarily day shift, between the hours of 0530-1930. Extension of shift may be required due to staffing needs. No weekends or holidays currently. Administrative call 2-3 times per year, 7 days each occurrence.
