We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced  Psychologist for Barksdale AFB Medical Clinic.

Job description :

Place of Performance: The work to be performed at Barksdale AFB Medical Clinic.

Hours of Performance: The 2nd Medical Group is an Outpatient Clinic. The Clinic hours are from 6:00
am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays and down days. The HCW must not
work more than 12 hours in a day or more than 40 hours per week.
The schedule or scheduling process is as follows:
Schedule will be flexible and adjust based on mission/clinic needs and hours will be between 6:00am
and 6:00pm. The healthcare worker must not work more than 12 hours in a day or more than 40 hours
per week. Every effort will be made to submit schedules at least 3 months in advance.
Requirements:
Degree: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
Education: Graduate from an American Psychology Association accredited college or university with a
doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology.
Internship/Residency: Successful completion from an internship in psychology accredited by the
American Psychological Association.
Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State, the
District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands.
Experience: Must have at least 12 months of experience, in the last 36 months, with assessing and
providing evidence-based individual counseling to patients within a mental health or health care facility.
Must have at least 12 months of direct hands-on experience in the last 36 months with computer
operations, basic word processing, data entry, and use of an automated medical record system.
Prefer those with recent experience (within the past three years) providing integrated behavioral health
services within a primary care setting.
Core Duties:
Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical
Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges.
Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, psychological testing,
and collateral sources, as appropriate.
Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and
Statistical Manual of Disorders.
Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with
illnesses or injuries.
Assist in rehabilitation of patients.
