Professor Aerospace Studies
Commands an AFROTC unit to recruit, train, and mentor highly qualified members as potential DAF officers. The commanding officer at a geographically separated unit determines when commissioning requirements are met. Chairs Department of Aerospace Studies with university status of full professor; coordinates the program with faculty. Instructs college curriculum covering Foundations of the DAF, DAF History, Leadership, and National Security Studies. Annual Salary: $240,000
Assistant Professor Aerospace Studies
Leads, recruits, trains, mentors, counsels, and evaluates highly qualified cadets as
prospective DAF officers. Responsible for the development, management, and execution of all unit
recruiting efforts. Promotes DAF career and scholarship opportunities to university staff, college
and high school students, faculty, and parents. Instructs college curriculum covering Foundations of the DAF, DAF History, Leadership, and National Security Studies. Annual Salary: $150,000
