W e have an exciting opportunity for a Multimedia Design Specialist at UL Research Institute.
The Multimedia Design Specialist is responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing multimedia content for various platforms. The Multimedia Specialist has a deeper level of expertise in multimedia production and is expected to contribute to more complex projects. Chemical Insights Research Institute (CIRI), of Underwriters Laboratories Research Institutes, is recruiting a PR and Amplification Manager to lead the media outreach efforts for our organization. This role will be an integral part of the team in achieving external recognition of CIRI’s leadership position in research, findings, and applications for a safer world. Reporting to the Director of Communications and Outreach, and working with the leadership team of CIRI, this position identifies media for topic areas, develops media strategies and relationships, writes relevant content including bylined articles, as well as other functions, on our important research topics and CIRI’s goals/outcomes.

Essential Functions, Roles, and Responsibilities:
- Plan, create, and edit multimedia content, including videos, animations, images, and interactive media.
- Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in multimedia software and equipment, such as Adobe Creative Suite, video editing tools, and 3D modeling software.
- Contribute to the development of creative concepts and strategies for multimedia projects.
- Independently execute multiple multimedia projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Ensure that multimedia content meets high-quality standards and aligns with the organization's brand guidelines.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including graphic designers, video producers, and content creators, to achieve project goals.
- Implement multimedia content strategies, including optimizing content for various platforms and managing content schedules.
- Perform other duties as directed.

- Strong knowledge of multimedia software and equipment, including video editing, graphic design, and 3D modeling tools.

Experience and Education Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in multimedia, digital media, graphic design, or a similar discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in multimedia production or a related role.
- Experience in multimedia software and tools, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
