Job Summary:
The Maintenance Training Program Owner will be responsible for managing the maintenance department’s Training, Safety and Environmental programs and processes to ensure adherence to all company, state and federal regulations. Ensures daily execution of all Training, Safety and Environmental requirements in accordance with the maintenance departments schedules and budgets in a quality and effective manner.
Responsiblities:
- Ensuring 24/7 Teams are effectively using core procedures, best practices are implemented, and incident learnings are applied to prevent drift
- Applying knowledge of process, product and equipment to effectively develop and execute training programs
- Training personnel to have skill and knowledge to perform their role with maximum effectiveness
- Develops and implements the technical training program for a new production unit.
- Builds the strategy around training and knowledge management for a new production unit.
- Onboards new team members and oversees their training and development to ensure the team is prepared to commission and operate the new unit.
- Continuously monitors and tests the application of technical knowledge by operations personnel in field and process activities.
- Ensures operations personnel are effectively using Standard Operating Procedures and implementing best practices. Detects training gaps and develops action plans to correct deviations .
- Recommend progression or termination based on employee capabilities throughout the training process
Production/Reliability – Work Execution
- Maintain training records and compliance
- Deliver Regulatory Training compliance
- Promote and model an interdependent safety culture
- Maintain core procedures/SMP’s to include updating procedures, create and develop new SMP’s and maintenance of all SMP’s
- Policy, process, and procedural change communications
- Maintain the health of ISO documentation
- High School diploma or GED.
- Degree or certification preferred in education or technical field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Understands technology of process, product and equipment
- Skilled in people development and teaching
- Communicates effectively (written and verbal)
- ISO & audit experience a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft suite
