We are hiring Climbing/Biking Program Specialists for our Overnight Camps : Camp Windy Peak in Bailey, CO and Camp Blue Sky in Evergreen, CO. Instructors are the cornerstone of our team, providing support, mentorship, and instruction to our campers with enthusiasm and passion. Instructors provide 24-hour care for our campers and act as their primary support while in cabin, on/off property, on expeditions, and more. This is an incredible opportunity for someone looking to make a lasting impact for dozens of campers this summer.

In this role you will
- Co-lead groups of up to 13 campers in age and developmentally appropriate instruction with outdoor activities including rock climbing, Leave No Trace principles, and teambuilding.
- You may be asked to also instruct paddling and climbing - training provided.
- Serve as a role model and guide campers by exhibiting appropriate behavior, attitudes, and activities.
- Follow and educate campers on safety protocols to ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants.
- Provide exceptional customer service to parents and all participants in our programs.
Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of camp.
- Climb Specialists should have personal and/or professional climbing experience with a thorough knowledge of common climbing knots and technical skills. Applicants should be comfortable setting top ropes.
- Personal and/or professional mountain biking experience a must have.
- Truly enjoys working with kids! Comfortable with the hours and supervision expectations of overnight camps.
- By the start of camp training, must have an active CPR and First Aid certification. A Wilderness First Aid (WFA, WFR, EMT, or W-EMT) certification is required to work at Camp Windy Peak.
- 1+ years of experience working at a resident camp is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of Basic First Aid & CPR certification by the start of camp (and we can point you in the right direction to get this done)
Work Schedule
- Resident camps are a 24/7 operation. The resident camp leadership team will create a schedule that provides you with one evening off/week and segments of other time off throughout the week.
- Mandatory training begins May 20. Programs begin June 11 and run through August 5.
