Job description

Abacus Technology is seeking an Historian to a special project to document NASA’s SOFIA program. This is a remote position for one year or until the completion of the project.

• Conduct primary research. 
• Conduct oral histories with NASA workforce. 
• Collaborate with NASA archivists in collection assessment and development. 
• Support agency efforts related to historic preservation/cultural resources, knowledge management, records management, artifacts, and public engagement. 
• Directly interfacing with NASA management and/or customers.

0-1 years experience in research and knowledge management. Master’s degree in history or a related field. Proficient in oral and written communications; research, writing and editing; and problem solving. Must be a US citizen.
