Job description
Halifax Health is seeking a Manager for our IT - Epic Systems Support.
The Manager, Epic Systems is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the implementation of Epic applications across various departments. This role requires a dynamic leader who can coordinate between multiple stakeholders, manage a specialized team, and ensure the successful deployment of Epic solutions within the organization.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Registered Nurse and other Clinical Certifications are preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Coordinate and communicate at all levels to oversee application implementation, specifically within assigned application areas like training, research, or clinical applications.
Align project management resources according to the scale of the implementation, with the potential to manage multiple project managers across different domains.
Maintain project scope, schedule, and quality within the specific application area or team.
Set clear expectations for team members and outline specific phase-based activities.
Collaborate with the project director and other managers to synchronize project activities.
Engage the business community to ensure their active involvement in the project.
Provide guidance, support, and coaching to team members on project issues and success factors.
Advocate for innovation and effectively communicate system capabilities to the team.
Manage organizational resources and handle detailed tasks while maintaining an organizational perspective.
Act as a support contact, troubleshoot issues, and guide workflow design, system building, and testing.
Serve as a bridge between the organization's needs and the Epic implementation staff.
Regularly communicate with Epic representatives and participate in project meetings.
Ensure that the system meets the business needs in terms of deliverables and timelines.
Facilitate the direction for the organization's workflows based on operational needs.
Conduct ongoing project and issue reviews with leadership.
Maintain weekly updates with team members to discuss project status, shared issues, user concerns, budget, and milestones.
