Salary Range: $18.40 - $23.00 Hourly

Job Summary:

The City of Greeley is seeking two seasonal employees to join Greeley’s Water Conservation Team and become a vital part of maintaining the Demonstration Garden facility while upholding our high standards for curb appeal and supporting indoor and outdoor water conservation assessments. As a cornerstone of our city's commitment to water conservation, these roles offer an opportunity to contribute to Greeley's ongoing efforts in reducing water usage through education, incentives, and innovative initiatives. These positions will report to the Water Conservation Manager and assignments will be directed by the Water Conservation Coordinator for the duration of the assignments.

The Water Conservation seasonal positions involve diverse responsibilities, including the maintenance and management of the Demonstration Garden located at 2503 Reservoir Rd. and by 1001 11 th Ave, Greeley, CO, as well as assisting with water conservation assessments. Primary garden duties encompass ensuring the garden remains in good condition throughout the growing season, and actively participating in hands-on tasks such as planting, weeding, trash removal, and executing special construction projects. Primary water assessment duties involve working directly with irrigation systems, identifying leaks, recording data measurements, collecting soil samples, and representing Greeley with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Regardless of weather conditions, there will always be tasks to tackle, rain or shine. The typical schedule for this position is from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, five days a week, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend and evening shifts as required by State and Federal regulations.
