Job description
JOB FOCUS:
Focus is on, but not limited to the following:
- Performs various manicure and pedicure procedures and services, including but not limited to, manicures, pedicures, polish changes on hands or feet, gel polish on hands and feet, and nail repairs.
- Escorts guests from lounge area to nail room.
- Offers extra nail enhancements, including but not limited to, hand and feet paraffin.
- Maintains equipment in nail room and reports equipment that is broken, damaged, and unsafe or that needs immediate repair to Spa Manager.
- Sells retail products and maintains awareness of new products and procedures.
- Keeps manicure and pedicure supplies stocked.
- Follows all nail service protocols issued by the Spa Manager.
- Follows all regulations in accordance with the State Board of Cosmetology.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have a Nail Technologist license from the State Board of cosmetology.
- Working knowledge of mathematical skills such as, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with attention to detail.
- Effective listening abilities, strong judgment skills in order to ascertain the condition and requests of the guest.
- Work indoor in a sometimes fast-paced, busy, and noisy environment, with occasional dirt, dust, and odors with occasional cold or warm temperatures and the sound of stereo music.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
PREFERRED:
- Previous experience as a Nail Technologist.
- Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
