Anaheim Regional Medical Center is hiring! We are looking for a dynamic Licensed Speech Language Pathologist with a passion for Acute InPatient Therapy setting. This is a fantastic opportunity to build upon your speech-language pathology skills while advancing your SLP career. Under the direction of the Director of Rehabilitation Therapy and the supervising In-house Speech Pathologist - we can train in all phases of Speech and Language Pathology and related tasks including assistance with the departmental performance improvement activities.
The Speech Pathologist I assesses patients for speech related therapy needs due to cognitive, communicative and/or swallowing deficits. Establishes treatment goals, develops and implements appropriate Speech Pathology treatment program. This role reviews medical history, applies screening tests, and meets with patients to determine clinical needs, impairments, functional limitation and disabilities. Establishes a plan of care in collaboration with patients and family to include expected intensity, duration of therapy and makes recommendations for discharge. Provides education to patients, family, and/or caregivers regarding purpose of activity, use of equipment, home exercise, and activity. Performs regular re-examinations and seeks feedback from patient, family, and multidisciplinary medical team. Manages multiple patients at the same time. Provides services and required documentation timely, accurately, and in accordance with professional and regulatory standards. Participates in outside continuing education and incorporates information into practice. Performs other duties as assigned.
