Job description
Position Purpose:
One Finance is a multilayer, multiyear enterprise initiative to Simplify The Home Depot’s Financial Systems landscape, Transform Finance Function and Support the success of One Home Depot vision. Delivering on One Finance objectives are critical and foundational for achieving the Interconnected Retail experience through execution of Enterprise Priorities and Commons (EPiCs).
The Home Depot’s Finance Systems landscape, consisting of 62 heavily customized applications on disparate platforms and databases, is complex and outdated. The current version of the core Finance System, SAP ECC, will go out of support in 2025 and needs to be migrated to SAP S/4 on HANA on Google Cloud Platform. Additionally, the business transformation mandate requires end-to-end process streamlining and standardization, simplifying the Finance function, supporting better profitability analysis, and enabling highly flexible reporting through “One Ledger” architecture.
To deliver these mission critical objectives, One Finance is structured as a fully dedicated Program Office.
The Manager of Organizational Change Management will play a critical role in the following areas:
- Stakeholder Planning, Alignment and Engagement
- End-user Readiness and Training
- Overall Program Communication and
- Change Management Reporting and Insights
The Manager must be a driver of change and help support organizational and system changes. You will be responsible for partnering with cross functional Business Owners, IT stakeholders and system integration partners in planning and executing the One Finance roadmap and ensuring people readiness and technology adoption to support the collective enterprise. You’ll create and deliver strategies and plans to help employees maximize the adoption of 1F core goals and objectives.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Under the direction of the Sr. Manager, program leadership, and with guidance from third-party OCM advisors, the Manager will design, develop and implement change management strategies and plans.
Planning and Alignment:
- Develop project strategies and plans, including stakeholder assessment, communications, leadership alignment, organization transition, change readiness, capability transfer, and end-user training.
- Lead execution of supplier webinars and material development
- Evaluates and assess stakeholder readiness, change impacts, project obstacles/resistance, and performance gaps to facilitate change from 'current state' to 'desired state'
- Leads efforts to execute change management recommendations, including creation and deployment of Change Network
- Facilitate change management activities with cross-functional team members and stakeholders to understand and ensure adoption of the Business Transformation
- Drives adoption and training initiatives that support program success (delivering on time, on budget and with unparalleled quality standards)
- Anticipates organizational changes that come with large-scale implementations – and the change management and communications interventions needed
- Defines, measures and reports success metrics
Training:
- Develops targeted collateral and branding
- Develops and executes end-user training approach and plan
Communication:
- Develops and executes program and project communications plan that involves and engages those impacted by the change
- Develops communication materials including newsletters, emails, web content, presentations, etc. by working with project teams and SMEs
- Use all forms of media (including digital and social) to reach a wide audience
NATURE AND SCOPE
- Reports to Sr. Manager, and supports strategy development, business alignment and execution oversight.
- Develops and manages execution of:
- Supplier Readiness Strategy
- Supplier Webinar agenda and material development
- Communications content and webinar/meeting logistics
- Create ad hoc Supplier communications and surveys
- Workplans/Implementation plans for all the above
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of proven experience in structured Organizational Change Management methodologies, tools and best practices such as Prosci ADKAR
- Proven experience in leading change as part of large-scale business transformations using ERP solution (preferably SAP).
- Demonstrated ability to navigate organizational structures, build credibility and influence with internal clients / stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in managing complexities of competing priorities and program inter-dependencies
- Ability to demonstrate strong business and people acumen; and ability to discriminate between symptoms and root causes, and work through touch change issues
- Excellent facilitator capable of influencing people over which he / she has no authority
- Ability to direct, coach and mentor change managers, analysts and other junior members of the team.
Physical Requirements : Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA
- Working knowledge or exposure to SAP ECC (FICO) or S/4 Simple Finance
- Store Operations, Merchandising, Supply Chain and Finance experience required
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

- Ability to develop and implement strategies that support the objectives of the company
- Ability to lead and develop subordinates
- Able to effectively communicate with all departments and levels of associates through both verbal and written methods
- Critical thinking skills; using logic to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, applying general rules to specific problems
