As a
Product Manager at K12 Insight you will partner with a team of data scientists, engineers and UX/UI designers to develop highly sophisticated product functions and features, collaborate to make challenging decisions, prioritize the right investments, creatively solve problems, and ensure we are commercializing exceptional product enhancements to our Let's Talk platform. You will be joining a rapidly growing Product team that is currently building, launching, and scaling the most innovative products in our space. You will focus on building intelligence features that deliver value for our customers and will work closely with our data science team to do so. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports at this time.
As a
Product Manager , you are someone who loves to learn a technical product inside and out while gaining a deep understanding of the user experience, market, and competitive offerings. You are a highly conscientious person who can seamlessly manage various ongoing projects. One of your strengths is clearly explaining technical products to key internal partners. You are strategic and can contribute to high-stakes decision making, working closely with the Product team to make investment decisions, define the roadmap, and execute flawless launches.
Responsibilities In this role, you'll manage the entire product lifecycle, including:
- Building and maintaining the business case for our product and key features, including market opportunities, user personas, and top use cases
- Identifying and filling product gaps with solutions that grow market share, elevate the customer experience, and improve the perceived value of our products
- Working with Leadership, Sales, and Client Success teams to gather insight, refine market fit, and validate stakeholder benefits
- Translating product strategy into requirements, and working closely with the Data Science and Design teams to develop exceptional product experiences for our users
- Working closely with the Product Engineering teams to build features on time and on budget without sacrificing quality
- Working with QA resources to ensure product is tested for all use cases
- Partnering with team members in Marketing, Client Success, and Sales to develop and implement a companywide go-to-market plan
- Identifying and tracking key performance indicators, including process metrics and product/feature usage and adoption data
- Interviewing customers to solicit feedback on company products and services
- Acting as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding both internally and with key external partners
- Participating in specific sales opportunities (customer demos, roadmap alignment meetings, marketing events, etc.)

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in computer science, technology, or related field
- 3+ years of Product Management experience within enterprise, B2B SaaS
- Experience working with data science teams
- Experience working in educational technology products a plus
- Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful SaaS product throughout its lifecycle
- A solid understanding of the software development process, allowing you to work seamlessly with our engineering team
Location: This role is hybrid-remote. Candidates should live within a commutable driving distance to our Herndon, Virginia headquarters. This role will be required to work in-office a minimum of two days per week. While much of our company works remotely, in 2023 we are emphasizing a minimum of two days per week in-office for some roles to support professional development plans and ensure team members succeed in their new role.

The expected salary range for this position is $85,000 - $135,000 / year with the opportunity to earn additional compensation pursuant with K12 Insight's corporate bonus plan. The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position, and is subject to change. Exact pay will be based on factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience and skills, market demands, internal parity and organizational needs.
