Job description
We are hiring a Administrative Staff Specialist Senior for one of our clients in Trenton, NJ .
Job Description:
- Administrative support in coordinating daily functions of the Health Services Research Unit and Centralized Data and Analytics Hub which jointly serve as the population health information hub, providing support to programs examining health indicators and reporting data on high profile health topics.
- Administrative supports will include but are not limited to activities related to program management such as coordinating meetings, workshops, and webinars; word processing, document creation, and form submission; gathering data to use in both program and budget reports; investigating problems and making recommendations for solutions; assisting in planning administrative improvements, including organizational changes and work systems; and procuring both technical and non-technical resources.
- Moreover, supports will likely be provided simultaneously to more than one manager within a wide variety of administrative services within the area of assignment.
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills are required.
- Expertise using Microsoft Suite including Word and Excel, are also required.
- This position may be eligible to participate in the Department's pilot telework program, which offers eligible employees the opportunity to work remotely for up to two (2) days per week, as approved by management.

Skills required:
- Knowledge, skills, education, and/or experience: Knowledge of the fundamentals of public health and health service systems.
Education required:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.
- Note: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional experience as indicated on a year-for-year basis.
- Experience: One (1) year of experience performing complex administrative support work which must have included the interpretation, verification, and/or application of department/agency rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Work hours:
- 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
- Lunch period: 1 hour
