Job description
Position: CMM Programmer/Operator
Location/s: Crestline, OH Duration: Full time - Contract Pay Rate: $30.00/hr. Shift: 2nd or 3rd Shift (Flexible) Benefits/Incentives: Insurance Offered (Medical, Dental, Vision, etc.) Position Overview: As a CMM Programmer/Operator, you will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing process, ensuring the accuracy and precision of our products through advanced metrology techniques. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a meticulous attention to detail.
Responsibilities: - Develop and optimize programs for autonomous CMMs to ensure accurate measurement of manufactured components.
- Maintain detailed records of all inspection reports, including validation checks on measurements taken.
- Validate all out-of-tolerance dimensions and conduct spot-checks on 10% of measurements if none are found.
- Execute existing CMM programs and make minor adjustments as needed to improve efficiency.
- Add revision comments when revising CMM programs to maintain accurate documentation.
- Handle client complaints and verifications related to measured data, providing clear and concise explanations for measurement methods chosen.
Minimum Requirements: - High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Proficiency in advanced arithmetic calculations, including trigonometry.
- Solid understanding of hand tools and their applications
- Fluent in PC-DMIS with a minimum of 3 years of experience
- Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with GD&T principles
- Willingness to demonstrate PC-DMIS proficiency through a brief aptitude test (5-10 minutes)
Additional Skills and Qualifications: - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with other metrology software is a plus.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment preferred.
Pre-Employment Requirements: - Must pass a criminal background check (7-year felony + sex offender)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test (10 panels for recreational drugs and opiates)
