Job Summary

The Individual In this position serves as Albany State University's representative on the Cairo campus of Southwest Georgia Technical College. Primary responsibilities Include advisement of students for the University's degree programs offered In Cairo and providing services for students enrolled in the programs In Cairo. In addition, this position requires a strong partnership with Southwest Georgia Technical College to serve as a liaison between the two programs. The successful candidate will report to the Chair of the School of Teacher Education.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

Developing a successful student bridge program in collaboration with other Institutions In the area which meets the goals and objectives for University degree programs offered at Cairo;

Increasing enrollment at the Cairo campus in keeping with University enrollment goals and ASU's Complete College Georgia plan

Tracking of student progress toward degree completion; coordinating student services;

Disseminating program Information;

Preparing and maintaining documents for administrative reports;

Collecting enrollment data on graduation, retention, and attrition;

Tracking of student performance and persistence; developing and Implementing marketing strategies for area recruitment

Maintaining, updating and revising when appropriate the MOU agreement between ASU and Southern Regional Technical College for approval by both Institutions.

Required Qualifications

Master degree required in education related field

5 years experience in education

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Experience in education at grades K-12

Experience in Higher Education

Proposed Salary

Salary range is from $45,400 to $53,065

ABILITIES
Ability to use appropriate technology associated with this position

KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge to advise students in bridging the programs between Southwest Georgia Technical College and Albany State University

SKILLS
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
