Position Overview

This is a permanent, onsite full-time position in our New Haven, Connecticut facility.

The Clinic Director will have responsibility for the oversight of clinical research activities including clinical research infrastructure, staffing and all aspects of the conduction clinical and clinical imaging studies. This role requires an understanding of what it takes to build and maintain a successful and dedicated research clinic and its team ready to meet unmet or under-met needs in the field of clinical imaging research.

About Mitro

MITRO Biotech Co., Ltd. is a molecular imaging contract research organization (MI-CRO) company in China. MITRO provides outstanding contract research for new drug development using radiolabeling and molecular imaging techniques. MITRO provides integrated solutions, including evaluation of potential therapeutics, biodistribution, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. MITRO provides translational research using a wide range of non-clinical through Phase 0 clinical trial services. MITRO’s focus includes but is not limited to: cancer, coronary heart disease, Alzheimer disease, epilepsy, Parkinson disease, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, gene expression, and stem cell research.

MITRO Biotech Co., Ltd.’s acquisition of XingImaging, LLC in September 2023 brought with it an active expansion to offer early through late phase PET clinical imaging and clinical services to industry sponsors and researchers for advancement of new imaging tracers for evaluation of diagnostic indicators, disease progression, and therapeutic medicines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Has a major role in recruiting qualified staff and ensuring that clinic staff and imaging staff are adequately trained to conduct all research activities
• Work with company regulatory and QA staff to ensure compliance SOPs and with all regulations required for clinical research activities
• Provide oversight of clinical trials and assign clinical studies to clinic staff accordingly. Outline the basic standards and processes involved with new clinical studies and ensure that the New Haven clinical site and imaging center maintain adequate resources (ie: HR, facility, equipment, and supplies)
• Conduct clinical study activities as necessary to manage clinical studies and to train staff.
• Work with company leadership to design and implement business strategies to assist the clinic in meeting business goals
• Work with company staff to develop and test database tools to enable clinical research including participant enrollment, safety, and clinical data.
• Responsible for developing, updating, and implementing clinic policies and SOPs for both clinical site and onsite imaging activities
• Ensure that clinic materials, equipment, and resources are managed efficiently and in accordance with safety protocols and sponsor study requirements
• Ensure that the clinic is operating in adherence to standard operating procedures, GCP and regulations, and legal requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Must have a nursing license, physician’s license, or other applicable medical license, degree in nursing or other related medical field
• Experience in managerial positions
• 8+ years of experience in the clinical research field
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organizational, time management, and leadership skills
• Understanding of neurodegenerative disorders a plus
• Embodies ethics and integrity in all work, respecting both company and broader community policies in all conduct
• Strong commitment to the team; maintains positive working relationships with diverse people, including internal team and external partners
• Ability to diplomatically address sensitive issues confidentially and professionally
