The Department of Family and Community Services,


Office of Children's Services (OCS) is

recruiting for full-time Social Services Program Coordinator located in

Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau or Kenai, Alaska.


Pay is based on the location of the selected applicant; salaries will be discussed at the time of interview.


Anchorage/Kenai: $2799.75/biweekly

Fairbanks: $2883.75/biweekly

Juneau: $2940.00//biweekly



What you will be doing
Under general direction plans, designs, develops, implements, maintains, supports and evaluates OCS programs, policies and procedures in the context the ORCA management information. Develops training programs and training materials for OCS staff and other agency management information system users.

Working environment you can expect
Where this position is located will depend on where we find a qualified incumbent. There are 4 possible locations that we are recruiting for, and this position could be located in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau or Kenai. This is a fast-paced position with varying job duties and responsibilities. Daily, this position works with internal and external ORCA users and IT staff.

Minimum Qualifications

Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in












Equivalent to those typically gained by:


Any combination of preparatory post-secondary education and/or professional level experience providing, developing, administrating, or managing social/health services or social/health service programs.

“Typically gained by” means the prevalent, usual method of gaining the competencies expected for entry into the job.

It includes instruction through formal and informal methods (such as classroom, on-line, self-study, and on-the-job), from accredited and unaccredited sources, and long-duration (such as a post-secondary degree) and short-duration (such as a seminar) programs.
