What You Will Be Doing

In this role you have the ability to work a hybrid schedule. You must exhibit technical proficiency and the ability to supervise and complete engagements, possess a thorough knowledge of our policies and procedures, and serve as intermediaries between shareholders, senior accountants, and clients.

As an Audit/Tax Senior for our firm, you will be trained to do both Tax/Audit responsibilities, including: Audits, 1040s, trusts and tax returns.

Other responsibilities may include:
- Managing the quality control function of the firms accounting and auditing practice.
- Assuming responsibility for planning, supervising, and completing engagements.
- Planning the timing and assigning of staff to engagements
- Reviewing engagement workpapers, identifying any issues, and keeping the shareholder informed of all important developments in the engagement.
- Evaluating the performance of senior accountants
- Developing new client contacts and relationships beneficial to the firm
- Recognizing opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients

What You Need for this Position

At least 5 years of experience at a public accounting firm with:
- CPA (required)
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (graduating with high honors is Preferred)
- Must be a self-starter
- Must be an independent / critical thinker (have the ability to think two steps ahead)
- Must have a good personality and strong social skills
- A strong desire to be a part of a team environment which focuses on collaboration, contribution, self-motivation, and client service
- Willingness to work a Hybrid Schedule
- Ability to supervise, lead, train and develop entry level staff
- Must be enthusiastic, ambitious, analytical, and focused
- Ability to stay organized, have a great attention to detail, and excellent follow-through skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, deadlines and commitments
- Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal form
