Job description

Summary:

The Management Trainee position is an entry-level training position. Under the supervision of a direct manager, the primary responsibility is to learn the basic principles of the transportation industry. The position is also an opportunity to work in several different departments to learn the business inside and out.

This position is designed to be a one year training program, but could be longer depending on the circumstances at the time.

Essential Duties:

· Maintains current and accurate data within the company's business systems

• Work with the parts department for a specified amount of time to learn, comprehend, and retain both the sales and operational workings of the department.
• Perform essential duties associated with each role in the parts department.
• Work with Parts Management Team to retrieve, read, and analyze data generated by multiple programs essential to parts sales and operations.
• Aide in implementing and maintaining current and future programs used to assist in parts sales and operations.
• Work with the Parts Leadership Team, as needed, to collect and/or cleanse data used for department or company initiatives.
• Work in Service Advisors / Managers for a specified amount of time to learn, comprehend, and retain the entire process of Daily Service Operations.
• Perform daily functions as a Service Advisor
• Assist Service Leadership Team to develop, implement, train, and maintain current and future projects to enhance our business
• Travel to locations to work with different Service Personnel as see fit
• Work closely with Service Leadership regarding data analytics as needed

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university (Accounting, IT, Business, Marketing, Communication, or Humanities degrees preferred)

· Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

· Must have positive, can-do attitude and a curious mind

· Must have strong work ethic and commitment to extra hours when needed

· Have the ability to travel to various locations as needed for extended periods of time

Work Environment:

The employee will be exposed to moving parts and electrical current. Exposed also to grease, chemicals, dust, dirt, and the heat and cold of the outdoors.
