The Indiana Institute on Disability and Community (IIDC) is 1 of only 67 University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities. The Institute conducts research and training through 7 Centers: Early Childhood Center, Center on Education and Lifelong Learning, Center on Community Living and Careers, Center for Health Equity, Indiana Resource Center for Autism, Center for Collaborative Systems Change, and the Eppley Institute on Parks and Public Lands.
The mission of the Center on Community Living and Careers (CCLC) is to promote partnerships between schools and community organizations to bring about positive changes in the lives of individuals and families as they live, work, and participate in their communities. CCLC conducts research, training, technical assistance, and evaluation related to secondary special education transition services, post-secondary education, customized and supported employment services, post-school outcomes, benefits counseling, community participation, and more for individuals with disabilities.
