Overview:
Director of Finance and Analytics
We are seeking a driven and analytical Director of Finance to lead our finance team and play a key role in driving strategic decision-making through financial insights and data analysis. This role demands a champion for continuous improvement and transformation. You will leverage your strong financial expertise and advanced analytical capabilities to not only translate financial data into actionable insights that inform business strategy and optimize performance, but also to create and implement innovative solutions that elevate the finance function. The Director will provide focus for the team on departmental objectives and company goals.
The position is Remote
Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000
Responsibilities:
- Directly responsible for supervising internal supervisory/managerial employees

- Financial Leadership and Transformation:
- Oversee all aspects of the finance function, with a focus on optimizing processes and identifying inefficiencies.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, complying with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with business leaders and Executive team.
- Financial Analytics and Insights:
- Leverage data analysis and visualization techniques to extract insights from financial data, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and proactively recommending data-driven strategies for improvement.
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate financial data into actionable business intelligence and champion a data-driven culture across the organization.
- Stay informed about emerging financial technologies and trends, implementing innovative solutions to improve financial processes and analysis.
- Leadership and Team Development:
- Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, fostering a strong culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and embracing a growth mindset.
- Recruit, develop, and mentor finance team members, equipping them with the necessary skills to leverage data and analytics.
- Effectively communicate complex financial information to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 8+ years of progressive experience in financial leadership and analysis, with at least 5 years leading a team.
- Demonstrated experience in utilizing data analysis and visualization tools to extract insights from financial data and presenting recommendations for improvement.
- Proficient in financial software and accounting systems, Great Plains/Dynamic GP and/or Solver is a plus.
- Data and analytics skillset including data manipulation and cleansing (Excel, Alteryx SQL), visualization (Excel, PowerBI, Tableau) and storytelling
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with experience interacting with C-level executives
- Strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for innovation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
- Must be detailed oriented with a concern for quality expressed by continually initiating system and process improvements
- Ability to coach and develop a team.
