Job description
Are you interested in being responsible for the architecture, administration, and development of data solutions? Our DFW-based client is in search of a Sr. BI Developer who lives for best-in-class data architecture and is ready to join a highly talented team of developers. The Sr. BI Developer will be considered a (SME) Subject Matter Expert for a variety of data and reporting solutions.
SALARY OFFERED: Up to $140K depending on experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as an active member of the IT Data and Integrations Improvement team and project lead providing additional oversight to lead projects and guide developers
- Define BI development objectives by analyzing user requirements, envisioning system features and functionality
- Administer data and reporting platforms (SSIS, SQL Servers, PowerBI, SSAS, SSRS, Cognos, etc.)
- Develop and support data solutions using SQL, SSIS, Dell Boomi, SSRS, SSAS, Cognos, PowerBI, etc.
- Work with other stakeholders to ensure the architecture is aligned with business requirements
- Perform design and code reviews
- Data and reporting performance optimization and tuning best practices
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field of study
- 7+ years of experience in designing, developing, supporting data and reporting solutions
- 4+ years of experience implementing data warehouse and reporting solutions with MS solution stack
- Solid understanding of RDBMS, Data warehousing, and data modeling concepts
- Proficient in SQL with the following database platforms: SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and/or DB2 database management systems
- Prior experience using relational databases, writing complex queries in ANSI-SQL-based products (T-SQL and PL/SQL)
- Retail and/or distribution industry experience as well as cloud/on-prem & hybrid cloud solutions experience is a plus
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
